Reshma Nagpal
Reshma Nagpal is a member of our police law department where she is part of a team specialising in civil actions, complaints against the police, inquest work arising from deaths in prison custody and claims to the CICA.
Reshma qualified as a solicitor in August 2007. She commenced her legal training at Imram Khan and Partners, working mainly in the field of criminal defence, before joining Bhatt Murphy in January 2007 to complete her training.
After completing an undergraduate degree in Politics & Sociology, Reshma obtained an LLM in Public International Law at the University of Nottingham where she focused predominantly on the United Nations, the Geneva Conventions and the concept of State Responsibility. Outside of her studies she joined the Model United Nations as a platform for debate and together with her colleagues represented Nottingham University at the London MUN Conference. Following the completion of her Masters, Reshma spent a year volunteering her time with various NGOs including Redress and Interights as well as assisting at a legal advice centre and writing on various topical issues.
