The deadline for applications for 2021 has now passed. We will be contacting candidates to let them know the outcome of our selection process by the 16th of July.
We launched our Summer Placement Scheme in 2012 with the aim of offering paid work placements to undergraduate students who cannot afford to undertake unpaid work experience or who are from under-represented groups within the legal profession.
We know from our own experience as recruiters that gaining relevant experience can make a crucial difference to a candidate’s ability to secure a training contract.
Every year we give four undergraduate students (of any academic discipline) the opportunity to experience working life at Bhatt Murphy. Placements are paid at London Living Wage rates and we help with accomodation and travel costs for students living outside of central London.
Feedback from past participants in the scheme can be read here.
In addition to our Summer Placement Scheme, we also work with the Hackney Schools Inspire! programme to offer work placements to secondary school students in our local area.
We do not offer ad-hoc work experience or internships outside of our summer placement scheme and the Hackney Schools Inspire! programme.
