Larry
Larry joined Bhatt Murphy as a paralegal in March 2020 and is now a trainee solicitor working on actions against the police and migrants' rights cases.

Prior to joining Bhatt Murphy, Larry was the Legal Manager of the Prisons Project at Bail for Immigration Detainees, where he advised and represented immigration detainees held on the prison estate pending their deportation. Before this, he was a senior IAAS-accredited caseworker at Wilson Solicitors LLP, working on asylum, human rights, and deportation cases.

Larry has a strong interest in migrant rights and supporting victims of the hostile environment. He is a member of North East London Migrant Action (NELMA) where he provided casework support in 2017 to challenge the policy of removing homeless EU nationals. He has also given immigration advice at Haringey Migrant Support Centre to destitute migrants and asylum seekers. He writes case-law updates for the legal blog Free Movement and co-authored their training course on “Applying for Immigration Bail”.
